Website project questions

Preparing for a webproject, we need to know what content is required, and what key messages to emphasize. These questions are intended to help clarify primary content and basic story lines, and for knowing the train will come on time.

  • Do you have experience with dynamic sites?
  • Thinking about that, what images come up for you?
  • What do you know about dynamic sites?
  • What is the site for?
  • Who will be visiting your site?
  • How will it be used?
  • What people need to/can be interviewed for gathering user stories before building the site?
  • Why are you considering building a dynamic site?
  • What content do your (potential) customers/visitors need to find on your website?
  • What parts of that will be easy to write? Which parts will be difficult?
  • What do you expect to be special challenges, building the site?
  • What is the main content that needs to be covered?
  • How do we organize main content in story lines for visitors? Alternative story lines?
  • What seems to be the strategic intent behind the different story lines?
  • What style and layout do you want for your site? (see website layout questions)
  • Do you have a logo? Art work? Photo's? Quotes? Graphs? iPod's? Movies?
  • What do you imagine on your frontpage?
  • When do you need your website ready?
  • What are your next destinations/steps?
